Welcome back!

May 28, 2021

It has been 1 year, 2 months and 1 day since South Africa went into lock down. No one could predict what we were in for, and as the days and weeks went by, we understood that we were in a situation that looked grim for tourism in South Africa and specifically the safari industry.

The first couple of months we enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness of the bush, even though we knew that the negative economic and psychological effects of the lockdown were felt all over. Midway through 2020, we slowly welcomed back South Africans to the bush, and in the last couple of weeks we have seen the slow and steady rise of foreign visitors back to the country. No doubt the vaccines have a lot to do with it and we are glad to see that people feel comfortable to travel from abroad.

We finally welcomed back our first foreign guest in an exceptionally long time, all the way from the United States. If it were not for Covid-19 precautions, we would have hugged him! We were so happy!

We are thankful that we have survived this trying time. We look forward to sharing this beautiful place with our guests, showing them the wildlife in this wilderness we call home.

Senalala is open and ready to receive our guests for an unforgettable experience and a warm South African ‘welcome back’ awaits!
